Domestic abuse is a prevalent issue that affects millions of people worldwide. If you are a victim of domestic abuse, it can be a scary and overwhelming experience. But it’s important to know that you are not alone and there is help available.

The first step to getting help is recognizing that you are in an abusive situation. Domestic abuse can take many forms, including physical, emotional, sexual, financial, and psychological abuse. It’s important to remember that abuse is never your fault and you deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. If you’re not in danger at the moment, but need help and support, there are many resources available to you, including the Susan A Foundation, where our mission is to provide financial support, as well as temporary and/or permanent housing in a stable, positive, productive environment.

As a domestic abuse survivor, the Susan A Foundation provided invaluable support. They gave me a safe space to stay when I was absolutely desperate to get out, fearing I would not survive another day. Now, thanks to them I feel empowered and in control of my own life.

I can’t thank the Susan A Foundation enough for being there for me at the darkest moment of my life. They made me feel like I wasn’t alone in this fight and that other human beings actually cared about me. They provided me with a safe haven and thanks to their support, I was able to reclaim my life and start over with a sense of hope and joy.

I cannot express how blessed I am to have had Susan A help me and my two sons find peace, after years of physical and emotional abuse. You are my angels and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
